Trying New Things

Trying new things can be hard. Whether it is your time or your money that is tied up, I always find a laundry list of excuses not to do things for myself. But I want to change that. I want some adventure. So in this spirit I am on a mission to try new activities, treatments, go new places and meet new people.

I’ve told my friends this time and time again, You need to take time for yourself! I don’t ever take my own advice. It sounds better regurgitating it onto someone else.

The worst part of it is, there is no one holding us back but ourselves. Most of us have supportive husbands who would readily watch the kids on a weekend should we come up with something. But, speaking for myself, I have been planning all week. I’ve planned meals, packed lunches, scheduled doctors appointment, made parent teacher conferences, been on hold with AT&T for three hours regarding the speed of our internet etc. By the time it comes down to planning something for me, I’d just assume sit in my pajamas and drink a beer and let my brain turn off for a few minutes.

But no more. I am getting out there. I’m seeing what’s up, what’s down and I’m reporting it back.

Coming soon:

Chelsey get a facial. For someone who just started washing my face a couple of months ago, this is a little out of my wheelhouse.

Chelsey tries floating. (This isn’t as gross as it sounds. Stay tuned for details.)
