Soda Pop Friends
I’ve been thinking about friends lately. And each one I know can fit into a specific category of soda. Ridiculous you say? Bear with me. It really does make sense.
The Mountain Dew Friend
This friend is full of energy. They are bubbly and great. But you can’t have too much Mountain Dew. Sometimes you can’t even finish a bottle. It’s good, but it is a lot to handle. Small doses is key with this friendship.
The Pepsi Friend
The Pepsi Friend is good. It’s no Coke, but it’s a great stand-in. They’re likeable and relaxing.
The Sprite Friend
Sprite is kind of boring. This friend doesn’t push your buttons, but they don’t add a whole lot to the party. Unless they’re mixed with alcohol.
The Dr. Pepper Friend
This friend is different; they’re funny and sweet. They may not be your absolute favorite, but they are great reprieve from the dullness of water (and sprite).
The Root -Beer Friend
This friend isn’t dull, like Sprite. But they are very G-Rated. They won’t laugh at a fart. They use words like “Heck”.
The Cream Soda Friend
This friend is so sweet. They are supportive and caring. But after a glass, you sometimes want to throw a rock at their face, just to see if you can make them mad.
The McDonald’s Coke Friend
This friend is reliable. They are the best of the best. No one can put their finger on exactly what it is that makes this friend so wonderful, but everyone will agree it has to do with the syrup/bubbles/water ratio. No matter where you go, this friend is always the same– delicious, refreshing and exactly what you need after a hard day.

I love this. As I was reading it, I was busily classifying my friends into their Soda Pop categories. It totally works. 🙂
