Cray-Cray for Tay-Tay

You either love or hate Taylor Swift. There’s no in between. But I think that those of you who claim to hate her are just embarrassed. I get it. I am a music snob myself. But COME ON.

First off, she’s addicting. Like sweet, sweet crack. Her latest album, 1989, recently debuted. I didn’t like it at first. But this has happened every, single time I have listened to her. I begin by picking apart her somewhat adolescent lyrics: “Cuz baby I’m a nightmare dressed as a day dream”. Really? Really T-Swift? You’re too cute to be nightmare. You dress like you popped out of the 1950’s and your smile radiates to my very soul. YOU ARE A GOD DAMN DAY DREAM.

So then I listen again. To, you know, pick it apart more. And then it gets stuck in my head.

You can be a Taylor hater. But you’re just lying to yourself. No one with ears and a heart can not love this woman (girl?).

Plus, her music videos are hilarious. Everyone has heard her single, Shake It Off. (One woman told me it made her, and I quote,  “ears bleed”. But I saw her tapping her foot while she was saying it. LIAR). The video is quite funny. You can watch it here.

Furthermore, she can change styles! Successfully! Remember when she used to country? Not anymore! Her new album is all pop. And it’s amazing.

So, I admit to you, I’m cray-cray for Tay-Tay.
