We’ve all heard the expression, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” And it is. The awesome power that one photograph can yield is mind blowing. It can stir emotions, speak volumes and touch you deep down in your cold, cold heart.

In the modern world, we have unleashed an array of ways to communicate, including using pictures and videos, sent to convey our thoughts and feelings.

Now a true friend can read you by your micro-expression. But a true, best of friend, can read you by your gifs. They can fathom your meanings. And also reciprocate.

That’s a gif, mom.

Let me lead up to the following story by explaining that there times when I go all day without adult conversation.

I know. Sad face.

And by the time my husband gets home, all three kids, the dog, and I are all bouncing up and down by the front door in anticipation. However, the monotony of solitary confinement (ahem, being a stay at home parent) can be broken up by other moms who are also lonely, tired, confused, dirty and reeking of peanut butter.

I won’t go into detail about the depths of my love for this soul sister I have– for this amazing being that has become a borderline sister-wife, sans the sharing of the husband.

Instead, I will show you– through this epic texting gif conversation that we had yesterday.
